Welcome to Confirmation
2009-2010
| This year we will have
two different sections of confirmation for 7th-8th graders. One section
will meet on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45, the other section will meet
Wednesdays at 7pm. We will be studying the Old Testament, The Ten
Commandments, The Sacraments, and Worship over the course of the school year. Confirmation for
7th-8th graders will
begin September 6th. There is a confirmation handbook which is available
at the church for all confirmation students and their parents. |
| Confirmation for 9th
graders will be on three different Saturdays (August 29, September 19, and
October 3). We will be
studying the "Seven Faith Practices". 9th grade confirmation
students are to write a papers on "This I believe about God and my
faith". |
| The Rite of
Confirmation will be celebrated on Sunday, October 25th , at
the 11:00am worship service for those 9th graders who have completed all
their confirmation studies and assignments. There will be a Confirmation reception on
October 25th at 9:30am in the Fellowship Hall. |
