C13.07.B01 Worship
Committee: The Worship Committee shall be responsible for the
worship and music programs of the congregation. Duties of the
Worship Committee shall include:
a. Assist the pastors and
paid staff in the planning of all worship and holy communion
b. Assist the Altar Guild
with "The Hanging of the Greens" prior to the First Sunday in
Advent, and with the removal of the greens, prior to the First Sunday of
Epiphany.
c. The procurement and
display of seasonal flowers (Poinsettias, Easter lilies), at the
appropriate times.
d. Coordination and
training of laypersons to serve as Worship Coordinators, Greeters,
Ushers, Acolytes, Cantors, Lectors and Communion Assistants.
e. The selection and
supervision of the Director of Music, Organists and Accompanists.
f. The approval of all
music used at wedding services held in the sanctuary or chapel of this
congregation, and in accordance to the congregation's Wedding
Guidelines.
g. Supervise the Altar
Guild, in matters regarding worship.
h. The maintenance of choir
robes including procurement, cleaning and repair of such garments.
i. The maintenance of the
sanctuary organ, hand chime set and all pianos owned by the congregation
j. The administration of the
Taped Ministry Program of the congregation, including the production,
reproduction and mailing of taped worship services to those who request
them and the recovery and recycling of such worship tapes after users
are finished with them.
